Wahine Kai is Hawaiian for Women of the Sea, which is what you'll be after learning how to surf! The camp is focused on teaching women of all ages the fundamentals of surfing. Our goal is to create female centered surfing programs in the communities of York County, which focus on empowerment and increased self-esteem amongst our participants.

We are not like the other surf schools that run large camps, we believe that a small class size allows the student to prosper and excel in an intimate environment. Wahine Kai is the only surf school in New England with a 4:1 student to instructor ratio. Wahine Kai East believes that individualized instruction is important when first learning how to surf. Surfing is not just a sport, it's a lifestyle! Part of being a surfer is having a strong connection and understanding of the ocean. Wahine Kai East practices an environmentally and healthy philosophy through our day-to-day activities. We hope that through our surfing camp, we can engage students to strengthen their awareness between the ocean and their surroundings.

Now entering our third year in Northern New England!
